I usually glaze over during the Ewok sections in Return of the Jedi since far more interesting things are going on in the Rebel assault on Death Star II.
This gospel song extols the Ewoks contributions to saving that galaxy far far away. It made me smile and maybe will make you smile too.
I was very pleased to see that itunes is now carrying Rex the Runt, a brilliant claymation series that was shown on the BBC a few years ago.
The show follows the everyday lives of Rex and his friends Bad Bob (who sports an eye patch and gun), Wendy and Vince (who likes jam and picks up random Pavarotti disorder mid way through the series). If you like shows with a bizzare sense of humour (that’s humour with a u; it’s adorably British joketelling) then I can’t really see a better way of spending £4.99.
Ebay have just introduced an extremely cool application for interacting the auction site. The application really spruces up the whole user experience; of particular note is the category view.
The start screen includes the full product category list, instead of the page refreshing every time you want to select something the categories shift to the left and the subcategories appear allowing you to drill down yet further to find your desired sub-category.
I do have a few very minor gripes; like the inability to zoom in as close as I like onto supplied picture, easily accomplished in most web browsers. Hopefully in the coming weeks such small enhancements would make the application perfect in my book.
The technology that ebay desktop is based on, Adobe AIR makes me excited about the potential of similar programmes in the future. A Google Docs word processor application that automatically saved your work securely online and had an interface as sleek and pretty as ebay desktop would really justifiably freak out Microsoft.
The app is available to download here, well worth playing with, if only to imagine the Minority Report style future we’re all gonna be living in five years. If ebay desktop is anything to go by at least we can be reassured of a pretty UI though.

Some creative person has spent some time creating a music video which only samples sounds from Windows 98 and XP.
It sounds strangely like a rather passable dance mix.
